The New Playgroup

Parent & Toddler:  The Parent & Toddler Group meets every Friday morning in the Village Hall from 9.30am – 11.30am.  For further information please contact Nonington School 01304 840348.
   
 
Nonington Tuesday Group

The Tuesday Group is for ladies of all ages, who meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30 p.m in the Village Hall. During the summer months we enjoy having outdoor meetings, visiting gardens or something similar. Our meetings later this year are:

Here are the dates I have booked with Pentland Golf for 2009.
 
Prices have been frozen for 2009 so costs will be the same as last year.
 
You will notice that I have left a couple of months free, this is because it was suggested at our last
meeting that we might try other courses, so if anyone would like to organise a day elsewhere let
me know and I will contact members through the normal channels.

Nonington's Old Geezers (NOGs) formerly The Monday Club

The Nog's Blog:

We meet most Fridays about 10.30am at the Village Shed* (entrance to Cricket Ground) or somewhere in the vicinity. Complete a few odd jobs and then to the pub to sort out the world's problems. New members always welcome. If it looks like rain, we go straight to the pub. Usually The Two Sawyers. Outing on 3rd October 2008 to The Pilot at Greatstone on the Romney Marsh for fish and chips and a couple of pints. Bus Pass essential. We left Nonington on the 89 bus at 9.30am.  Not too sure about the return time as Mick Kemp was insisting we came back via the scenic route! Mick had already done a recce of the route and says we would be back the same day. Absolutely correct  - we made it by 5.45pm.

Next trip to The Punch Tavern at Herne Common on 5th December. Dress Code: Clean shirt. Again this was a highly successful trip. We got 4 pints in and had a really good meal. A bit put off by the large number of OAPs frequenting the place but our disguises worked well and we managed to blend in with the crowd! The bus stopped outside the pub which was a bonus.

Nonington Village Entertainments

Remember our fantastic firework displays in September 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.

We are looking for new ideas and some new faces to join us. Our AGM will be held in January 2010 (date not fixed) providing an opportunity for everybody in the village to have a say in planning future events.
