TR25 SW23 233533 Crop-mark. Double-ditched oval enclosure? The crop-mark falls on the summit of a prominent ridge. The ground has been ploughed, nothing was seen. (Next to Wingham Road, bisected by foot path from Ratling to Adisham).
TR25 SW29 23085225 Middle Acheulian hand-axe found by Mr. H. Vosper of 46 Newman Rd. in hisgarden. In the Royal Museum, Canterbury, (no. 9198) see DRIF. Mr. Vosper not available, none of the neighbours could help in exact sitting. However, house plot very small (17 m x 6. m). centred on ref. 2308252259.
TR25 SW32 23985369 Ratling Court (NAT), Ratling. Grade 1 house, circa 1320, extended in the late 15th century & 1637, clad in 18th century. Timber framed & part exposed (especially to the rear & to right return. Close studded with plaster infill, largely clad with painted brick, plain tiled roof. Aisled hall with cross wing plan. Two storey wings flank, centre first storey and attic range, jetty to right on dragon posts, hipped roofs with stacks at end left & to centre, two central hipped semi-dormers. Two glazing bar sashes on first floors & one tripartite & three single glazing bar sashes on groundfloor. Central door of six raised and fielded panels in segmentally headed surround. Cat slide out shot & hipped wing to rear.
TR25 SW37 23455315 Double ring ditch located west of the railway line at Aylesham (Ratling, to west of nursery). Uncertain date.
TR25 SW39 244524 An enclosure (Chapmans Close) near Aylesham. Date uncertain. (Several bank systems nearby).
TR25 SW76 23665329 Area feature/cropmark, splodge & indistinct linear feature. (Ratling, west of railway bridge, north-west of nursery)
TR25 SW77 24335303 Enclosure/cropmark. Large rectilinear enclosure with internal rectilinear features (adjacent & south of Old Court Cottages foot-path): two circular splodges-barrow sites ?- lie to the south at Tr24355292
TR25 SW78 24785300 Ring ditch/cropmark, small ring ditch immediately north adjacent of road. Ackholt Road (?) (mid-way between Listways Cottages and Old Court Farm entrance road).
TR25 SW138 245527 Circular enclosure, rectangular enclosure and track. (In the field opposite sub-station between Aylesham and Listways Cottages).

Ditch aligned NW-SW, with mid-13th century pottery found in fill. Medieval 1066 AD-1539 AD. Ditch on site of a linear crop mark, possibly the early course of a road, together with field boundary ditches. (Found during construction of the Aylsham pipeline near the Wingham road).
