Parish Magazine Reminder: Please submit items for the June edition of the Parish Magazine no later than 15th May. Articles can be submitted by e-mail to parishmag@tesco.net Parish Council: The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held in the Village Hall on Wednesday 7th May at 7.30pm. For further information please go to the village website at www.nonington.com. There is an open vacancy for a Clerk to the Parish Council. Friends of Nonington Church AGM: The Friends of Nonington Church will hold their Annual General Meeting on Thursday June 12th in St. Mary’s Church at 7.30pm. All are welcome. |
Parish Council: There is an open vacancy for a Clerk to the Parish Council. A small allowance is paid to the Clerk of £8 an hour, with the expectation that the Clerk spends approximately three and a half hours a week on Parish Council matters. Green Gang Events: The White Cliffs Countryside Project is organising the following events in or around Nonington: Train Ride & Teddies Picnic, on Saturday May 24. Trains run from 11.30am between Shepherdswell and Eythorne on the White Cliffs Colliery Line ( a 4 mile round trip). Adults £6, Seniors £5. Children travel free when accompanied by a teddy bear and a fare-paying adult. Call East Kent Railway 01304 832042 for further information. Finger Puppet Workshop: Make a selection of finger puppets at Dover Museum on Tuesday May 27 from 10am – 4.30pm. Free to local residents (take library card or similar to show residency).
