CommentsHallo and a good day. I am very happy for this website for Nonington, and I will certainly look at it and if I have something to add I will contact you. Warm greetings Klaus Meier beech Grove Bruderhof Nonington Kent CT15 4HH |
CommentsGlad to see our group listed. Thank you for advertising us. Sincerely, Janice Kilgore Director of the Trinity Singers Dallas, Texas |
CommentsThe website looks fantastic. Please could you find some way of asking for contributions for the recipe book - original recipes, some memories of Nonington's past, and some pictures of the village in bygone years would be great. Best wishes, Keith. ps: Ellie says hello too (Keith Cox) |
CommentsWe are at our computer in sunny Florida and we are able to keep in touch with Nonington! Our Aunt is Kath Smith who has lived in Nonington all her life. We have fond memories of your village. We used to go primrosing up by the college. I was a bridesmaid for my Aunt and Uncle (many years ago) at the village Church. The web site is comprehensive and I will send the address to my children in Michigan and Maryland. Thanks for the "walk down memory lane" Elizabeth and Ray Frampton. |
CommentsJust wanted to say "Hi" to my Aunt Kath. My Aunt Kath is pictured on your website. We love her very much. We were able to visit Uncle Ted & Aunt Kath when my children were small. Sean Edward is named after Uncle Ted. Andrew my middle child still remembers Aunt Kath because she spoiled him rotten with KitKats. I never get to write Aunt Kath, but if you get this message, Auntie Kath we have you in our hearts and send you our love. Thanks for the website (especially the part about Auntie Kath. who is a inspiration to me) Louise Frampton Harrison Township, Michigan U.S.A. |

CommentsHello Dick It's Tony Congratulations on this website I am more than impressed might even steal a few ideas ! ! ! TB@Harbour |
CommentsI attended Nonington College of Physical Education from 1970-1973,and have very fond memories of the village and the people who lived there. It would be great if a page could be given over to the history of such a brilliant building. B Harcourt. |
CommentsRe Nonington College. Are you suggesting we should create a Memories Page for past students (good idea) or a page on the history of the actual building. If the latter, I think Clive Webb's History of St Alban's Court already deals with that subject. Richard Henley |
CommentsIts ok |
CommentsI would just like to say thank you for adding a link to Aylesham & District Community News. I will be returning the compliment by adding a link to your web-site when our November Issue is up-loaded. Sam King, Website Designer/Editor, Aylesham & District Community News |
CommentsHow about a for sale slot where anyone could list an item they wish to sell. Perhaps there is one and I have yet to find it. For example I have some spare 1mm butyl pond liner. regards David Peacock |
CommentsHi, and thrilled to see a web site for the village, we are newcomers but love the village already. Well done, keep it up, and hopefully I'll find some time soon to contribute properly. All the best, Andy and Woodstock. |
CommentsThanks for all the comments and suggestions regarding the website. If you go to the Notice Board you will now find a 'Sales and Wants' section. Also, I am looking for a few people to become involved in running the site. If you are interested, please contact me at info@nonington.com and I'll get back to you. R.H. |

CommentsAubrey Sutton would like to say hello to the villagers of Nonington. Now I live in Eastry but for 65 years Nonington village was my home. |
CommentsReally good site has helped me with some information on my Family tree. As St. Alban's Court is part of my families history. |
CommentsMy Grandfather William Hammond lived at St. Albans Court. He married my Grandmother in 1935 (Henrietta Maud Richardson) My Father has 2 water colour paintings painted by a W O Hammond and a book of paintings by the same man. Done in 1903. My Grandfather was brought up by Aunt Ina who lived at St. Albans. I am trying to do The Hammond Family Tree. So any further information you can give me I would be most grateful. I have some information but not much and finding it hard to put who belongs to whom so to speak. Diana Eales (nee Hammond) E-mail: david.eales3@ntlworld.com |
Commentsbeen on-line 2 days - found your site very interesting having been born and lived in Nonington for 47 years until moving to Eastry 5 years ago Angie Worman@aol.com |

CommentsMy name is Diane Thomas and I was a student at Nonington College from 1955-58. It was great to discover your website and find out what has happened to the college as previous web searches had all been fruitless - no reference found. I have been living in western Canada, fairly close to the Rockies since 1967 and retired in 1997 after 39 years of teaching. I can be reached by e-mail at portiaact2@shaw.ca It would be amazing to hear from other ex-students. I have so many memories of my three years in Nonington, all of them good. Great to see that the Royal Oak is still going strong. |
CommentsHello everyone , I was a student at Nonington college from 1959 to 61 when I had to leave owing to the untimely death of my mother which affected me deeply. I enjoyed and have very fond memories of my time there, I am in touch with Pam Nixon and Margaret Hughes who were both in my year , I should very much like to hear from anyone else out there and let's find out where our lives lead us. regards to you all Cynthia Hargreaves |
CommentsI was a student at Nonington College from 1961 to 1964 and loved every minute!(well almost!) Old students who do not know will be sad to hear that Miss Hinks died last weekend. We have reunions and the next one is in Croydon on 28th February. Details from skg@skdiki.freeserve.co.uk. That's Diki Gleesons address. There will be a memorial service for Hinkie later in the year. Anyone who knows me get in touch! Fredwyn Hosier(Geach) Fredwyn123@aol.com |
CommentsPersonal message for Aubrey Sutton: It was great to see your message on the site. That is, if you are the same Mr Sutton from the College. We all thought you were a genuine gentleman! If you remember us, this is Fredwyn Geach. I am seeing Gloria (Stirret) in a week or two when we go to a reunion.... |
CommentsDoes anyone have any information about Miss Winifred Whiting, Principal from 1951 to 1958 please. |

CommentsRe: Above message: Joan, your message has been passed on to Klaus Meier at Beech Grove (St Alban's Court). Also the missing pages from the Webb History of Nonington relating to The Poor House, St Alban's Court, Fredville and The Emigration to Australia have now been reinstated. |
CommentsLesley SEARSON (Burrows). Student at Nonington CPE 1975/1978. Very happy memories and still visiting several times a year.
